The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued a corrected Ambulance Fee Schedule (AFS) file. The corrected file has been loaded into our claims processing system. Claims that were being held have been released for processing.

Claims processed on/after February 3, 2006 were processed based on the corrected AFS file. At this time carriers have not been instructed how to handle claims previously processed using the incorrect file. We will post updated information on our website regarding this issue.

Providers do not need to take any action at this time. CMS will be issuing additional instructions to carriers in the near future regarding claims that previously processed using the incorrect file.
