Florida Medicare Provider Outreach and Education (POE) Advisory Group (AG)
What is the POE Advisory Group?
The POE Advisory Group for First Coast Service Options, Inc., (FCSO) is a panel of representatives from state medical societies, provider offices, and billing organizations. Membership for the POE Advisory Group changes each year, with the group meeting at least three times each year. Members support FCSO’s educational efforts by:
• Reviewing new and existing Medicare education programs;
• Recommending changes to these programs;
• Alerting FCSO to problems or concerns affecting providers;
• Networking with other professionals interested in Medicare; and
• Disseminating information from the POE Advisory Group to the organizations each member represents.
When and Where does the POE Advisory Group meet?
At a minimum, there are two teleconferences per year and one in-person meeting per year. FCSO hosted the first meeting for this year’s POE Advisory Group on January 10, 2008, in Orlando. The remaining meetings are scheduled for:
• May 13, 2008 – Part B Advisory Group
• May 14, 2008 – Part A Advisory Group
• August 5, 2008 – Part B Advisory Group
• August 6, 2008 – Part A Advisory Group
